Halloween is fun-but remember to be safe.  Eat a snack before heading out, help resist temptation to nibble while trick or treating! Have fun!!

Sleep is a vital part of our health.  We spend so much time during the day trying to improve our health, we eat right, we exercise, but what about sleep?   The average adult needs 7-10 hours of sleep in order to "recharge" Many things get in the way of a "good" nights sleep-one of the is GERD (gastro endotracheal reflux disease).  This slant wedge available at www.your-medical-store.com, can help with that.

As a Nurse Practitioner I am good at "talking the talk", but that is hypocritical if I don't "walk the walk". SO- today I'm going for my mammogram! Breast Cancer is the #2 cause of cancer deaths! SO take an hour out of your "busy" schedule and get "the girls" squeezed, flattened, and pulled-it's better than the alternative. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Sleep The idea of sleep is simple-yet so many of us don't "get it right" Sleep is a vital part of our health, not only physical, mental too!  A good night sleep can help us to combat and avoid serious illness, stay at a healthy weight, reduce stress, and make better decisions ( and many more things) Start by getting a good night sleep!

We all have a superpower!  Share yours with the world!  Chronic illness are a part of us-they don't define us!  We all have something to share.  The illness just might change the way we share!                                               Our story can become someones play book! When we share with others we make ourselves happy and someone else-it's a win-win! Go out and share-your "stuff" might become someone elses treasure😂 When I was diagnosed with Spastic Paraplegia, I was so busy running around.  I was a nurse practitioner, and a single mom.  Now I have time to volunteer, be a state ambassador for the spastic paraplegia foundation, a brand ambassador,  and tutor young nursing students!    ...

Today is the first day of the rest of your life! We all have a story, the best part of that is we write it!  We may not be able to erase the begining, but we CAN write the ending! It's never too late to start! When I was diagnosed with this rare, chronic disease (HSP) I decided (after I had a pity party) to start a new chapter in my life.   It stinks that it often takes something "bad" to happen for us to to see all the "good". Have a great weekend, go on an adventure-start to re-write your ending!

Happy Pumpkin Spice Everything! Gratitude! Deserves another day!  When we are grateful, we are happy, when we are happy we feel good, we  are productive...and it starts a domino effect.  Gratitude leads to a happy, healthy life-physical, emotional and spiritual.  Happiness is something that WE create.  You always have a choice-choose HAPPY! and try to start each day with:                                                     "I'M THANKFUL FOR____"
